In the Heart of my dreams, there's a lady who moves,
Spreading darkness all over the land
Face it in the veils of her raven black hair
You can see the night fall from her hands
I stood long ago, on a windy black plain
And into the darkness I gazed
Then I saw without seeing my lady appear
In her eyes a dark fire seemed to blaze.

Chorus:	And my soul reaches out, and it cries to my mind,
Turn away, turn away from the Sun.
What the bright day has lost, only shadows may find.
In the darkness, the mystery's begun.

The I heard on the wind, she was calling my name,
Saying 'Child, you're a daughter of mine.
Come walk with me now and I'll teach you my ways.
Raise my cup to me, drink my dark wine.
The gale was around me, it tore through my hair.
My heart beat with passion and fear.
And I tried to imagine my world without her,
And a wind with no whispers to hear.

I looked on her face, and I raised up my glass.
I drank in her will with the wine.
The we walked many miles though I moved not a pace,
And my soul with her power entwined.
Deep as wells were here eyes, like the raven her hair,
And her robes were the skies of the night.
Then I fell to the earth and took hold of the stones,
And I gave myself up to her night.

She lifted me gently, and sadly she smiled:
"My way is not easy," said she.
"My gift is my wisdom and that must be earned,
But the earning is what sets you free."
From that day, she's been with me when darkness is nigh.
My Lady speaks softly to me.
My Queen of all magick, my Goddess, my joy;
On the winds I still hear Hecate.
