Subject: Goddess

Dark Hecate, Wise Mother Hecate
Deep the powers of Great Mother Earth
Mighty Persephone, golden-haired Persephone
Holy Delphi, the womb of birth.

Dark Mother, your treasures uncovered
Your chalice of wisdom deep as time
Dark Mother, your strength we discover
As rich and sweet as Daphne's wine.

Kores Ascendi [maiden rising], the nymphs attend thee
Holy Maiden of Spring, laughing and glad.
Kores Ascendi, dancing nymphs attend thee
Green garlands at your feet, flowers crown your head.

Maiden of joy and of laughter
The lilies and violets sing of thee
Oh Maiden with the lark and the young roe,
With them you do dance and you run free.

Gaea Ge Danu, Demeter Anu
Blessed goddesses of the fruited vine
Lush is your garden green, and your grain so heavy laden
Rich are your meadows with bright berries fine.

Bright Mother, fruitful mother,
Your blessed cup overflows.
Bright Mother, empress and lover,
With generous loving you heal all
With generous loving the world grows
With generous loving our life flows.
