Subject: Sabbats - Yule

Chorus: Red for compassion, green for the earth
And white for the hope of peace (2x)

Red for compassion, born all anew each year when the Yuletide comes
Red for the blood of the soldier's heart, for the children who die too young
Red for the souls who beg in the streets, for those who relieve their need
Red for believing love and life are stronger than hate and greed.

Green for the earth, we sing to the Mother, giver of life to all
Green for her forests, shelter and home for creatures great and small
Green for her pine trees, promise of springtime under the winter sky
Green for the love in the human heart that will not let Her die.

White for the dove who carries the hope of peace within our time
White for the snow that falls from the sky and blurs all the boundary lines
White for the lights that shine so brightly, drowning our darkest fears
White for the dream of peace on earth when Yuletide comes next year.
